HYGGE & WEST + UNIVERSAL

A collaboration inspired by the classic film ‘Jurassic Park’. With it’s luscious green foliage, adventurous storytelling and infamous characters, this was such a joy to create. The more you look you more you see it’s not just a jungle themed design, from the mosquito in amber to the dinosaur footprints. Perfect for a powder room, a kid’s room or for anyone who loves a unique wallpaper and of course dinosaurs!

Approached by this iconic brand to purchase a few hand painted designs for their interior fabric collection, including this design ‘Cottage Border’ which captures the essence of a spring floral garden whilst keeping the textured brushstrokes from the original painting to the final design.

A Breath of Plein Air

Print 1 ‘Summer’ took inspiration from the English countryside and summer weather; with loose brushstrokes emulating wild flowers and grasses swaying in the wind. Print 2 ‘Plein Air’ was inspired by the Fauvism movement and the rolling countryside of Northern England, with a colour palette that is
semi realistic but also joyful and bold.

An illustrative fabric collection that brings together the story telling of a train journey across Italy,
a paradise of foliage and joyful conversationals.

ALEX MONROE

Project 1: Focusing on the importance of bees and their love of wild flowers. The aim was to create 2 hand painted beehives which were installed in their jewellery shop. A few extra illustrations and repeat pattern were also designed for their social media and window display.

Project 2: To create 2 spring meadow illustrations for the stores window displays in Covent Garden and London Bridge.
